Concussion DC instructions
Rest until your symptoms resolve.
OK to initiate intellectual activities (such as reading) only after resting symptoms resolve.
After experiencing 24 hours symptom-free (with normal activities of daily living and minor intellectial activities):
You may return to school/work, with minimal activities. You may need to go only part-time at first.
You may resume some physical activity.
Don't consider returning to full play/work (including contact) until your physician clears you, and after you have demonstrated the ability to be physically active in vigorous activity without symptoms.
Stay well hydrated, get lots of extra rest, contact your PCP or go to the urgent care or ER if you have concerning symptoms such as worsening headache, confusion, nausea and vomiting, difficulty walking or talking, or other neurological signs or symptoms.
