Troubleshooting
Template not inserted into EMR
There are two main reasons why a note may not be inserted into your EMR after clicking "Insert." The solution depends on whether the issue occurs sometimes or if notes are never inserted into the EMR.
My notes are sometimes not inserted
Occasionally, a note might not be inserted into the EMR. The main reason for this is that the cursor wasn't positioned correctly.
When you click "Insert," if the cursor is not in the position where the note should be pasted, Dilato won’t know where to insert the note.
To avoid this issue, make sure the cursor is in the correct field in your EMR before selecting your template. Alternatively, you can use shortcuts to trigger the templates, ensuring the cursor is in place.
In some cases, you may have placed the cursor correctly, but it moved or lost focus before sending the note. To avoid this, try to limit switching between apps or browser tabs while using a Dilato template.
But don’t worry! 😲 Dilato always copies your note to the system clipboard, allowing you to quickly recover it. If the note isn’t inserted as expected, follow these steps to paste the note:
- In the EMR, click where you want to insert your note.
- Paste using Cmd + V on Mac or Ctrl + V on Windows, or right-click and select Paste. 😉
My notes are never inserted
If your notes are never inserted, especially on Mac, the most likely cause is that you haven’t enabled Dilato Accessibility permission. This permission allows Dilato to insert notes into your EMR.
If enabling Accessibility permission doesn’t resolve the issue, try unchecking and rechecking the permission for Dilato. Then, quit and reopen Dilato.
If the issue persists, try restarting your computer.
